Tehran is an action crime thriller drama based on true events that is set against the backdrop of the attack on the Israel embassy in New Delhi in 2012. It narrates the story of a tough gritty special cell police officer ACP Rajeev Kumar (John Abraham) who travels all the way to Iran on a covert mission to execute an audacious assassination of the perpetrators who have caused India to become collateral damage in the covert Iran- Israel war. He unravels the conspiracy, with the help of his team-mates Shailaja (Neeru Bajwa), Divya (Manushi Chhillar) and Vijay (Dinker Sharma) who take him from jousting with officials to the streets of Tehran. Can he uncover the truth behind the attack, as Iran wants him dead and India deserts him.
